Mustard is a top-down, half octagonal shawl that allows it to both drape easily over shoulders and wrap-around coverage without causing too much bulk around the neck. It is perfect as an outer lawyer for a forest walk or beach fire or snuggle up with it while reading a book and drinking your favourite tea.

Techniques to enjoy: simple lace work, stockinette, M1R/M1L increases, garter stitch and flat top-down construction.

NOTES:

> For pattern support, please email wolfandfaunknits@gmail.com. Please note I do not regularly check Ravelry or any other online messaging platforms.
> Gauge and tension will affect the yardage of the yarn. Due to variations in personal knitting, and to avoid a game of yarn chicken, I recommend gathering more than enough yarn to complete the project in case you end up needing slightly more. I typically make sure I have 10% more yarn than the pattern calls for to make up for waste yarn or needing more due to my personal gauge and tension.
> Some people find it difficult to envision the position of the shawl to begin the knit-on lace. Once you break the yarn for the shawl body, you will begin the knit-on lace by holding the opposite end of the shawl form where the yarn was broken, with the right-side facing you.

As always, instructions are in written and chart when applicable. The pattern has been tech-edited and tested.
